Training our stability mucsles is important if we are to avoid injury. Runners often neglect doing anything other than run until injury strikes. Training our stability muscles will certainly help avoid injury. Try the following NOW, stand up and on one leg slowly raise yourself up onto your toes, do it 3 times. Did you manage to do it under control or did you wobble around.

When our stability mucsles are weak our main muscles have to not only propel us forward but at the same time prevent us from moving sideways. Muscles don`t generally like to do two things at once, and so injuries can occour.
